Credentials

BGA Psychology is led by Bryce Gibbs, PhD, a licensed psychologist with more than 25 years of experience in psychological assessment. He is licensed in Texas and New York and provides tele-assessment services across PSYPACT participating states.

Dr. Gibbs earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with highest honors, from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a minor in Biology. He completed his doctoral training in Counseling Psychology at The University of Texas at Austin, where his coursework and clinical training included abnormal psychology, emotional and personality assessment, neuropsychological evaluation, and the biological bases of behavior.

During doctoral training, Dr. Gibbs completed practicum placements involving assessment and treatment of individuals with emotional, personality, and neurocognitive disorders. He completed his predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, rotating through psychiatric emergency services, acute psychiatric settings, and forensic environments.

Following internship, Dr. Gibbs completed postdoctoral training at a longstanding psychological clinic in Austin, Texas, where he served as the lead assessment clinician and conducted comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations.

Early in his career, Dr. Gibbs led a team conducting neurocognitive assessments for older adults, including evaluations involving memory impairment, traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative conditions, and other forms of cognitive decline. This work also included long-term disability evaluations involving cognitive and neurological conditions.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Gibbs developed BGA Psychology into a comprehensive assessment practice in Austin, Texas. The practice includes a team of psychometrists, assessment clinicians, and licensed psychologists working within a structured assessment model designed to support efficiency, consistency, and quality.
